Book Binding and Bright Ideas—Just for Teens!
In this 1-hour session, you’ll learn the basics of bookbinding—from folding pages and sewing spines to creating your very own mini-journal or zine. No experience? Totally fine! All materials provided. Just bring your creativity and leave with something you made from cover to cover.
Whether you’re into journaling, sketching, or just love making cool stuff by hand, this is your chance to learn a new skill and leave with something awesome.
First come, first served! Seating limited to 10 participants.
What you'll learn
- Learn what bookbinding is and explore the tools and materials we’ll use
- Folding and Preparing Pages – Master the art of folding paper and organizing your pages into a booklet
- Simple Stitching Techniques – Practice a beginner-friendly stitch (like the saddle stitch) to bind your pages together
- Cover Creation – Design and attach a custom cover to make your book truly one-of-a-kind
- Tips for Personalizing Your Journal or Zine – Add creative touches with collage, doodles, stamps, or hand lettering
